This is the first treadmill for me, so I cannot compare with others. It is heavy, but OK for one person to handle in the room. It is well built. The most important thing to me is whether I can run/jog without holding the support bar, and yes! I (5' 8") can jog on it. However, I needed to adjust the incline so I placed the wood board (1.5 inch thick) below the end foot; the original incline was a bit too steep for me and the magnetic break was not effective enough to slow down the spinning. I am still learning a proper jog style on the treadmill, but I can definitely jog for 30 min with sweat.
